Today is the 250th Anniversary of the United States, making it a significant milestone for the country. We wish everyone a fun and safe celebration. On June 11th, the graduation of the class of 2026 was held at the Lewis and Miller Memorial Stadium. The graduating class consisted of roughly 61 people. Student speeches were done by Emma Pavlica, Salutatorian, Abygail Miller, Class President, and Colin Marvin, Valedictorian. Guest speaker Hanna Pavill, class of 2019, also provided a speech for the graduates. Dear Northwest, we are the newly formed Northwest Area Journalism & Media Club. We were officially approved by the school board as of June 25th, and plan to start up for the 26-27 school year. We want to entertain and inform the student body and local community on school events, sports, and announcements, as well as provide journalism and media skills to members of the club.
